Cheer Camp: How to Survive!

If you’ve been to cheer camp before, you know it’s tons of fun, but plenty of hard work! But if this is your first year attending camp, you probably aren’t quite sure what to expect.

Remember:
Don’t be nervous! Everyone at camp loves cheer so you already have something in common. You’ll be working hard, sweating a lot, learning a ton, making new friends, and creating life long memories. Your days will be filled with so many activities, a lot of it coming at you all at once. Thankfully it only lasts about a week! Many camps also include a lot of other fun activities like swimming, cookouts, and nighttime campfires.

Like regular season practice, you must put in the effort to get results. Be prepared, be on time for events, and to put everything you have into participating. Push yourself out of your comfort zone, get involved in contests and competitions.

Most of all, camp is a unique experience that surrounds you with all levels of cheerleading talent, so take the opportunity to ask a lot of questions (and take plenty of notes)!


So yeah, basically cheer camp is every cheerleaders’ dream come true! BUT it’s a lot to handle without getting exhausted or burnt out. The secret to surviving cheer camp is easy: eat well, get enough rest, pack plenty of gear, be positive, and, of course, stay hydrated! Come prepared, and remember your these survival tips:
